As we all know sunday is lekki Astro day, The training went smoothly and the members turned out in their numbers.
Assembly started at 9:45 the praise and worship was led by Abraham.
This was followed by opening prayer and it was done by Mopol who said both christian and Muslim prayers….
Afterwards the president’s address and it keyed on the following Topics
1) Payment of dues,
He started by cautioning the late comers and proceeded to say that memeber response to payment if dues has improved that it was better than previousweek.
Also he maintained that the deadline for payment still stands, that there are currently 24 people waiting to join and people who default on their dues will be de listed to pave way for the intending members.
2)The Constitution
He said memebrs are yet to comment or give their verdict, meaning that they agree with everything it contains. He also urged members to read the Constitution so that sections found lacking can be ammened accordingly.
3) Annual General Meeting
He said the Constitution is what is holding the AGM from taking place, that after the Constitution has been passed we can have the first AGM
4) The super cup.
He started by sayying that the super cup is supposed to foster unity among the members and not divide us, and to that end it had been postponed to a later date because of the Lent and Ramadan period, he said the LMC did good to submit the calendar on time but the excos didnt check to see if it clashed wiith holidays, he also said it will be played when all pending issues regarding the super cup. Eg transfers, deadline etc have been clarified by the LMC and there is a possibility for it to be played next year .
5)Mr Rivas
Clarification on Mr Rivas Resignation as DOS and Affirmation that he still remains a member of LASC’s B.O.T and lekki astro memeber.
He said despite the issue being addressed on the platform he had to clear the air that there are no internal issues within the club .
6) The Role of DOS
He announced that the Engineer (whayls) is currently under going probation to see if he has what it takes to fill the vaccum created by Mr Rivas’s departure to the UK.
He said currently coach Elnino is double acting as head coach & DOS while Engineer continues his probatory period as deputy DOS pending when the the desicion will be made.
He maintained that Mr Rivas continues to act in advisory capacity
7) Mr Bonny Alinta’s Resignation
He said the Resignation of Mr Bonny as LASC BOT and Alinta was his personal decision and that we all should respect, it, and stated categorically that its not an issue, on that note he said that any one that feels the club is no longer serving their interest is free to exit or write a letter to the excos, that LASC needs like minds to move the club foward
8) The trip to Kigali
He tasked the commitee to give a report on the travelling next week
9) Appreciation of gifts to lekki Astro by Mr Olu maintain and Emeka Carrick
Mr Olu maintain bought a plastic box for the curators to keep phones and key for the club and Carrick bought a new football for the club and they were both appreciated by the president and the club.
10) The visitation to CSO Alaowerri’s Barbing Salon.
The president concluded by announcing that we would be moving to the CSO’ new barbing salon where he would be treating the team to 50percent haircuts and also the CSO has invited us to come and merry with him afterwards.
On a final note he said any one with ideas can share with the team through engineer.

The Unveiling of Lekki Astro sports club new memebers
11)The birthday Celebration of lekki Astro Vice president Arc. Amaechi Nnaji.
Before the training session Mr Oki of i chat fashion presented birthday gifts to Cece Murphy and Ugo hills who had their birthday’s earlier in the month.
Coaches present were chief coach Elnino, assistant coach cece Murphy and coach santos
Training started with a proper warm up and stretch session led by Cece Murphy.
Afterwards it was game time and the coaches chose players for both sides, both sides wore the blue and Red/ wine bips of lekki astro sports club
The blue side started with…..mopol,ikorobia,stainless, aliyu, carrick,cece murphy, xbonny, Iyke (gbajumo), Engineer, Mr Tony and in reserve were, Lulaku, koffi, Abraham (GK) Uyi, coach santos
For Red/Wine side
In goal was Murphy, Eze, Olu maintian, Ugo Hills, Ebuka, Adejoh, Emperor , President Haliru, St Peters, Davido
In reserve was Kachi, JMD, Nathan,otigba, Yabas,opeyemi
It was a hot sunny day and the game started with a dull tempo, players took time to settle into the game, but the game did not really change until coach Elnino made some tactical corections that saw the Red team take the lead after missed chances by Adejoh, No suprise he was the scorer of the first goal, after his earlier attempt was disallowed for office.
However the blue side eventually step after the introduction of Lekki Astro’s Midfield Maestro JMD. His impact in the game was immediately felt and it led to the blue side scoring 4 consecutive goals, with goals coming from koffi, Lukaku, iyke (Gbajumo) and Nathan.
On the other hand Emperor was unable to bring back last week’s magic touch he lost a number of chances and Abraham made stunning saves as usual to the delight of the blue team. The red team looked to make it six but the wood work denied a beautiful chip by Yusuf and jmd’s super effort his the cross bar twice.
Coach Elnino blew the final whistle to put an End to the traning.

Post Training
Afterwards The team, proceeded to CHIBEST CUTS on orders of the president to felicitate with CSO alaowerri who already prepared to host the team, members got 50% off for their haircuts as promised by the President..
Two new lekki astro memebers Autchman and Otigba were unveiled by superstar Captain St peters and Mr swanky himself.
Members took time to celebrate the vice president by singing him birthday songs and he was presented a gift By Adejoh.
